Trip Goal & Overview

This one-week global health outreach trip will take place in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, from February 28 – March 7, 2026, with a volunteer application deadline of February 21, 2026. The program focuses on delivering sustainable outpatient primary care to predominantly Haitian plantation communities while providing structured clinical teaching and precepting opportunities for medical students. The week includes three full clinic days, two clinical teaching days, and opportunities for cultural immersion and local experiences.

Partner Organizations

One World Surgery – Local clinical partner and referral base providing access to high-quality surgical and primary care globally.
Universidad Central del Este (UCE) Medical College – Dominican medical school partner supporting local collaboration and logistics.

Personnel Requirements

Clinicians will deliver direct patient care and support medical education through precepting and structured teaching. Below are the original requirements; please check the application for the most up-to-date roles that remain available.
