This recurring service trip provides basic primary care and health education to under-resourced Indigenous communities in Peru and the Amazon region with compassion, trust, and respect, while fostering sustainable relationships and continuity of care.
The team works with Parroquial San Martin de Porres, which provides basic, ongoing healthcare, education, and community support to local and Indigenous populations with limited access to medical services. Dr. Flanders has led teams to this location with Parroquial San Martin de Porres two to three times a year for five years. Rotary International, San Cap provides grant and education support for diabetes care, and Centro de Visión Divino Niño Jesús Iquitos provides consultation for cataracts and eye diseases.
Spanish fluency is helpful but not necessary. Pharmacy experience is helpful.
Remaining openings by role are shown during registration.
The trip fee is $2,656 per person (double occupancy) or $3,236 (single occupancy), not including airfare. Payment instructions are sent with your acceptance.
